London City Airport is closer to the centre of London than any of the other four airports that serve London. London City Airport is just ten miles from London’s West End and three miles from Canary Wharf.
By far the easiest way to get to and from London City is by using the Docklands Light Railway DLR service which has direct connections to with London’s Underground via the Jubilee Line via Canning Town and most of the other services via Bank Station. There are various options using the previous Underground stations via the DLR service . The DLR station is approximately fifty yards from the Airport Terminal and it takes 22 minutes to travel to Bank, Canning Town 8 minutes and Canary Wharf 18 minutes.
